This past Sunday I preached from Acts 4 and spoke about “A Wasted Life.” One of the life principles I gave was: “The way you change the world is to find something you would die for and then start living for it.” I closed with this illustration: Wegmans knows how to do bathrooms! They have “nice, caring, and thoughtful” written all over them. They embrace you when you walk in them. Years ago we decided to renovate the bathrooms at Crossroads. I met with our workers and said to them, “We need......
It’s estimated that by Acts 4, the church in Jerusalem had grown to around 50,000 believers. The Apostles were sharing the Gospel and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, it was spreading like fire. Jesus’ command to them was clear: Matthew 28: 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him—but some of them doubted! 18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the......
Yesterday in the sermon I shared this life principle: “When you lose your awe of God you begin to look at man.” It was based on the following scripture: Acts 3:11–12 (NIV84) 11 While the beggar held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade. 12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Men of Israel, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made......
Someone asked me a question Sunday after the service, “Why is God taking just the Jewish people to Israel? Why not all of us?” Good question! The answer is simple; prophecy states that He will specifically return the Jewish people to their home land. During the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ, we will all be visiting Jerusalem, but for now the Lord is actively drawing just the Jews home. It’s all part of His prophetic plan for the RETURN OF THE KING. Jeremiah 32:37 (NLT) 37 I will certainly bring my people back......
Dear Friends, Seems that the series we just finished at Crossroads, “Driven by Eternity”, left many asking, “How do I share my faith?” In response, I have given you a link to watch. Ravi Zacharias is one of my favorite apologists…someone who explains clearly God’s Word. I found this short video clip very enlightening and so worth listening to. I encourage you to take 6 minutes and watch this. So simple yet so profound. https://youtu.be/yZLzLVAUJiU Let me know what you think…. Love to all, Pastor Pat...
ONE FOOT FROM ETERNITY Thanks for listening to my story last Sunday, “One Foot From Eternity.” It seems that over 1,000 people have viewed it on Facebook, certainly making this one of the most popular sermons to date. Someone asked me. “What happened to the church I spoke about in the story? Is it still open?” Yes! It was finally purchased from Adelaide Dooley’s son for the sum of $25,000 and currently a small group still meets there on Sunday mornings. Like many small towns, Richmondville is struggling to maintain its existence.......
