Outreach at Crossroads

It is Crossroads’ desire to be an active member of our community and share God’s love with everyone.  We provide various opportunities to fellowship with people both inside and outside of our church by hosting family friendly gatherings and partnering with other churches, ministries and organizations to reach out into our neighborhoods. Below are a few of our larger outreach events:

Family Movie Events

Since our first successful showing of Despicable Me 2 in 2014, Crossroads decided to make our President’s Day Family Movie at The Aurora Theatre an annual event. These free admission movies have given the community an opportunity to learn about our ministries, upcoming events and most importantly highlighting the warm and authentic hospitality we embody at Crossroads. Join us for our next movie event at the Aurora Theatre on October 8th, 2018 at 11:00am.  We will be showing the movie Ferdinand!

Vacation Bible School

VBS at Crossroads is a 5-day program in August for kids entering grades K-6. It is a theme-based program that ties all of the rotation areas together to learn about the Bible and God’s Word. VBS is one of the most exciting outreach ministries that Crossroads’ hosts. Not only does it touch the lives of the 100+ children that attend each year, it also touches the 70+ volunteers that help! Watch for news in the Spring about our 2019 VBS program.

Fall Harvest Festival

The Fall Harvest Festival is a fun community-wide event that Crossroads’ hosts on the last Friday in October and is open to all children and adults. Each year we have games, crafts, face painting, souvenir photos, a balloon artist, shelter animals for adoption, a chili cook-off and pie contest, food and of course, lots of candy! This is a free event!  This year’s event will be Friday, October 26th from 6-8 pm.  Come and bring your family and friends!

Community Outreach

Each year, Crossroads partners with Prince of Peace Church in Buffalo to assist families in their community and also joins together with their men for an annual Men’s retreat and other events.  Crossroads also supports the Rural Outreach Center throughout the year as the organization helps local families through social work support, emergency food and clothing assistance and a variety of other programs.
